Influence of fluidity improver on metal-polymer direct joining via injection molding

Injection molded direct joining (IMDJ) is one type of metal-plastic methods. IMDJ first treats the metal surface and then injects melted polymer onto via injection molding technology. method excellently suitable for a mass production environment technology characteristics high-speed production. However, factors limiting application its low strength. In this study, we improved performance by mixing flow modifier (flow OSGOL MF-11) in engineering polyamide 6 (PA6). We studied influence additive amount on It was found that MF-11 PA6 feasible to improve strength, with maximum improvement up 75%. The mechanical interlocking higher fluidity confirmed cross-sectional analysis. FTIR spectra analysis results showed possibility chemical interaction occurrence, which causes joint be more robust. Materials modification additives much easier apply compared processing provide new ideas development.
